My pass side strut rod has a 4" piece of rubber hose over the very end of it, acting as a bumper when the wheels are turned all the way over. I was thinking this was rigged until I see the same thing on several other GT500 pictures. Can anyone tell me the story behind this?

That is something that was not on the car when it left Ford or Shelby. It is something most likely added by the dealer or former owner as a bumper to keep from hitting at full lock. It is common to see this but it isn't correct for show. Bob

Thanks Mr. Bob. I assumed it was a back yard fix, then I saw them on pics of 2 show cars!
