The second annual event will be this coming Saturday at the museum in Boulder. The rule is "Powered by Ford", so it's not only Shelby's. Last year there 4 or 5 (or maybe 6) Tigers and a Pantera or two. Plus Mustangs up the wazoo and a couple of Cobras. I'll have to enter my Mustang but my Cobra has a Roush power plant so not eligible (although that doesn't mean it won't be in the cul-de-sac. :)

A Roush modified Ford based engine doesn't count as Ford powered? That's splitting hairs in a big way. And hard to believe.

I guess Roush doesn't race Fords in NASCAR. I always thought Roush and Ford were like peas in a pod. Maybe you need to talk to the show organizers about your Roush powered car.

Mine is a 427IR which is based on a tall deck 351W Dart block. It's a Ford at heart but has a few transplants. We'll see if they buy it. I don't care we'll have fun anyway.

So I was told the Roush was not a problem and I should bring both cars. A friend of mine won and got to drive the Cobra down there (or did he lose - it was cloudy and kind of misty-rainy).

Following are some pictures with a surprise ending.

The GT350's and GT500's were mostly parked around the cul de sac. These two were parked next to each other and from the presentation style looked like they were owned by the same people:

This little red 289 Cobra is Bill Murray's. He's one of the best known restorers and he drives them too.

Every time I go into the museum I see something different. This time some stuff was moved around so there are pictures taken from different angles of cars I've posted before here.

The Larry H Miller Daytona Coupe is prominently displayed, and the loop video they play was in a section with the car at a fairly recent classic race. I got a few of the car when it was in the video. One has Bob Bondurant in the screen.

This #98 CSX3032 is a "daily racer" and was driven as recently as 2007. I don't think they drove it in 2008.

If I were to win Powerball and if all the cars in the museum were available for purchase like on a used car lot, this would be the second one I'd take. It

The only non-Ford-based car in the place. This would be my first choice from the used car lot

So we're eating pizza for lunch and I'm finishing one piece with a Diet Pepsi and up pulls this black 66 vert. The lady gets out and chats with some friends so I had time to finish my lunch and went over and asked if she would stand next to the car. I knelt down to take the pictures and commented "What a beauty". Someone in the peanut gallery commented "Which one, the car or the chick?" My comment was "Yes!" She smiled.

There was only one Tiger there this time, but a bunch of Panteras (none of which had their engines open so I didn't take many pictures. Cramming a Ford 289 into a Tiger was a feat. Some of the plugs had to be changed via access ports in the fire wall.

Signed dash panels on the two GT350/GT500's I mentioned earlier (taken out of sequence and too late to go vix all the the previous ones!) Don't feel left out - I didn't take any pictures of my cars either and I had both my Cobra and Barrett Jackson SGT there!

This is the guy from Cheyenne (I'm sorry I can't remember your name now, I even asked your brother!). The girls with him are Otto Werner's grand daughters who selected his car for Best Of Show! We spent so much time comparing notes that I forgot to take a picture of his car! (I have one from last year somewhere).

Oh, I didn't go away empty handed:

This is pretty cool. Otto Werner was the owner of CSX2052 that I posted pictures of here earlier.

    It was a good time!

Gotta run to the store to get sweet corn!
