Anybody have the part number for the '67 roll bars? There are at least two types, a 6 point and a four point. Some of the six point roll bars were also installed with two of the legs cut off. So if anyone has factory documentation listing the roll bar, please let me know. Thanks.
I can't say I've ever seen a number on my early car's bar. It is a six pointer. So, if you know where to look I'll look again as right now the interior is out. Just tell me where to look on the bar, unless it is under the padding.
That is a new one on me also. I have never seen a S7MS Shelby number or anything like it on any of the 67 roll bars I have looked at over the years.Bob
On reflection there are 3 types of roll bars the first type was a 6 attachment point roll bar with removable rubberized cover, 6 point with dipped or moulded on cover ,and a 4 point with the moulded on cover . The ones with the moulded on cover are indistinguishable from each other from the top side above the interior panels . Below the interior panels the only difference is if it has the support legs welded on ,cut off or not there at all. All of the bars most likely evolved from the same design bar and as they used up stock on the ones with the extra legs that were cut off the design was changed. Bob
Thanks for the replies. My best guess was S7MS 6361202-A for the 6-point bar and S7MS 6361202-B for the 4-point bar. Of course Bob, you've thrown that one in doubt. I was just wondering if anyone had any early factory parts lists that listed the bar. Please let me know if you turn anything up.
Worth mentioning: If you know of a place that makes a new cover for, or dips the roll bar so you can get a new soft cover for it, a lot of folks would be delighted. Not that I need it.
