I already posted this on the SAAC Forum but thought I'd post it here as well to hopefully get a little more exposure. If you've already replied on the SAAC Forum no need to reply again here, and thank you!! I'm looking to gather some information to try and get an idea of how many variations of large letter Cobra intakes were used on 66 GT350's and how/if it relates to the production run. I would really appreciate any input from 66 GT350 owners who still have their original large letter intakes. What I need is the Shelby VIN and as much of the variation criteria listed below as possible. I have included pics of the different variations I'm aware of, if anyone knows of any more please let me know. Variation criteria: 1. Firing Order location: A.) Rear pad B.) Front #5 runner 2. COBRA casting style: (may be difficult to see if on the car due to the distributor) A.) Square in the area of the "A". B.) Angled in the area of the "A". 3. Manufacturer stamp on the bottom front casting boss: A.) OECO (+AWL or something else). I believe OECO stands for Offenhauser Equipment CO, don't know what the other letters mean. B.) OFFENHAUSER Thanks in advance to everyone who helps, Here's my original intake info.... Shelby VIN: 6S1757 1. Firing Order location: A.) Rear pad 2. COBRA casting style: B.) Angled in the area of the "A" 3. Manufacturer stamp: A.) OECO (+AWL). Thanks again! Dave
For 6S524 (S2MS 9424A): 1. Firing Order location: B.) Front #5 runner 2. COBRA casting style: A.) Square in the area of the "A". 3. Manufacturer stamp: Unknown. Ken
Thanks for the info Ken! If I can get enough data that shows any trends I'll put together a spread sheet and share the results with the forum. Dave
