Now we just wait for that post here or on another forum

"Who makes the best reproduction body panels?"

    "How much would it cost.....?"

"Where do I find the FORD VIN....?"

"When is Dyna** going to come out with a 65-66 fastback body?"

BTW its interesting no one mentioned or at least posted if they looked the car up in the registry. Not like this car was unknow ;) Passed though J Cowles hands at one point - last (in the registry) out of Fla and listed in "restored" condition.

    Story ... continues ;)

    I just don't get it....
Why would someone pay that kind of monsy for a basket case?
You can get a pretty decent '66 GT350 for what it would cost to get this thing done. I wouold not be so suprised in a private transaction, as the whole world would not know your "perfect" '66 GT350 was once a total basket case. Evrybody and their brother will know this car has to be a rebody when finished.
    WHo knows...

Remember, the registry contains information that is submitted by people (owners and non-owners) that supposedly know something about the car. It is all subjective, and sometimes very biased.

Yes, I agree, but this information would warrant some easily made phone calls (at least to J Cowles) if this car had been of interest to me.

Well i guess i got my question answered by the ebay top bidder for the rusty green 66 GT350...65 k!

While i dont think i would have paid 10 k for the car i am glad that the intelligent buyers of ebay and masters of the internet have the set the bar for 66 GT350 project cars...needing full restoration...and 85% new sheet metal.

    Thanks!

Yes Ken agreed (talked to Howard about correcting the report that 1203 had the door cut for speaker - don't know where that came from:noway:

... just thought I would mention what had been listed. Think if I would have been interested a call to at least Jim would have been proper. Maybe it was restored and (as you offered) a flood had been in its past. We will likely never know.

On to the next car
