5th Annual LSSDAC Shelby Poker Run
A Tour of the Choctaw Nation

    Date: Saturday, September 25, 2004

    Time: Start 10:30 am
Cost: $20 per player (multiple players per car allowed)
Length: Approximate 150-mile loop with 5 stops (some of the best rural driving in the USA!)
Location: McGee Creek State Park in SE Oklahoma. 19 miles east of Atoka, OK on McGee Creek Dam Road (1 mile south of the dam)

If you wish to stay overnight in the "Shelby Compound" on Friday or Saturday night, please reserve your bed with Clark Hickman ASAP. Tent camping and cabins are also available from the state park. See http://www.traveloklahoma.com/.

At the start you will be given directions. Follow the directions and collect a card from the stops as directed for each paid player (multiple entries per car are allowed). If you get to the finish in less than 3.5 hours, you will become ineligible for the prize. If you return after more than 5.0 hours (or after 4 pm), you will be ineligible for the prize. If you get to the finish location in the allotted time, you will get to draw a 6th card before discarding to try and improve your hand.

The best poker hand receives the total pot not to exceed $250. Any additional money collected will be donated to the Shelby Heart Fund in the name of the LSSDAC. In case of a tie, additional cards will be drawn until a winner is found.

Stay after the Poker Run for some bench racing and Carroll Shelby chili!
