The new Shelby GT500 is an incredibly powerful Mustang, like, topping 700-horsepower powerful, all thanks to it’s supercharged 5.2-liter V8. However, that power plant is mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission (that's right, no manual). With the super quick shifting, you can expect mid-3-second 0-60 sprints. But will the lack of a manual transmission be missed? What do you think?

I am sure some buyers will want the manual with a foot clutch. I think the new GT500 engine would over-power the clutch-type manual.

Technically, a dual clutch is a manual without a foot clutch (it's in the transmission), and it does shift faster than a person can shift.

I think the car may get below a 3 second 0-60 time with some sticky tires. The rumor is around 726 Hp, but I have no idea what the first gear ratio will be.

I've just finished ordering a GT350, and the sales people tell me that they have a bunch of cash deposits on the GT500.
