You can fix that with a hand held tuner but it will void the warranty. I moved my rev-limiter up to 7000 and made it alot more fun.
I came across this on another web site confirming what Bob saw on the 68.
These guys modify TKO's to fit perfectly in vintage Mustangs. My brother used one in his 68 GT fastback and it installed easily and works great....
The 427 low riser, automatic combo made it way into 357 Cougar's that year but never into a Mustang or Shelby.

I don't see anywhere in the ad for the 68 brochure that claims it is an original. It only says it is used and shows minor wear.

You might want to order it with the ambiant interior lighting. It looks cool at night and without it these cars are kind of dark inside.
