Hi John, 68's rock! Do you know what dealer car came from in NY? Tim
Re: Shelby Reg. Unless they considered the hood scoop ram air, none except the KR. Remember they also listed 427's and Paxtons in the early...
Should be black just like the blackout under the hood sprayed with scoop on car. Upper scoops are blacked out on front opening only. Use 3/4"...
The hood will still stay up with the lightweight springs. I wouldn't count on the hood straightening out though.
I believe Glaziers has them
Do you mean like this? http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c74/tlea/4282.jpg Its easiest to pull engine every 5K :)
Very common. It sounds like you have the 1st generation 10 spokes which will not clear the 68 calipers. The later ones for the 68's have a 1/8"...
Re: Shelby appearances? I would assume he'll be in Vegas in February
Sorry, all I've got are 68. My 67 is long gone.
Kickstand has a 2/13 build with Automotive so if you are after then yours would probably say that as well. I also have confirmation from a 2/23...
Possible but I can't say for sure. Let me email a few mid Feb build cars and see what I find.
Is that for the 67 or 68?
The serial numbers won't help because they weren't necessarily built in order. I can tell you they said American through 1/26/68. The door sill...
I've only seen aluminum too but most have been replaced @ repaint or vin verification. Max @AMK has black ones which he says are correct for 68.
Does anybody out there have a 68 with the original Shelby VIN rivets in place? If so what color are they? I have some info that suggests originals...
While there is some debate on this I believe ALL 68 Shelbys with US DSO's had emissions. 500's and KR's used Thermactor. 350 manuals had...
I believe it is attached to one of Steve Beckers ads on ebay for a 69 Shelby vert. It pertains to a listing pulled by ebay in which a shop was...
I would guess it would put a stock J code (250 hp) in the neighborhood of 330-350 but not nearly as much torque as 428. Shelby ended up axing the...
2nd the Paxton. Its the accessory that should have been on all 68 350's
They were not. I know of a 68.5 CJ with them
For some reason I seem to collect these. I've typically got several Alternator guages. The oil guages are harder to come by.
I've never seen one with an arrow that says "Alternator" only "Amperes". If you have a picture I'd like to see it. Interestingsly there is an oil...
Last NOS one I had sold for $450 about a year ago. I'm getting $350 for nice used ones these days. I'd say put it on Ebay with no reserve and let...
I used to think it was strange that so few 68's came with AM/FMs and 8 tracks but then I realized why. With the 428 and 3.50 gears and the windows...
A lot of people bash the J code 68 because it wasn't as powerful as the 289 hipo but @250 hp it was no slouch.I actually would like to add a 68...
