I have a question, but honestly I am not sure what forum to post, so I will start here! Not sure what else to call it. I notice when I take off from start with little pedal pressure the car seems to accelerate decent, but when I press the pedal a little harder there is a point where it seems to bogg.....meaning it doesn't so much accelerate but more seems in the middle of the lite pedal press and the more heavy press. Obviously when firm pressed it roars and accelerates fine...it's just that in between press that sometimes just seems to make noise but not much acceleration Hope I explained that right. My uneducated answer would be.........its being caught between lite and heavy pressure and isn't fully getting correct fuel. \thanks Fred
Maybe I am just sensitive to things in cars.........used to have a Shelby 427 roadster....not original......but it had so much power yet there was the same feeling....somewhere between full throttle and lite throttle...there was a momentary bog...as though my pressure giving fuel was just at a point where it was not one or the other. I don't know, just asking if anyone knows my feel on this . thanks
In the past, my usual acceleration lag in a carbureted car was too much fuel being initially dumped in due to too large a carb or the primary jets were too large or opened too much(rich). You might check you spark plugs.
