I would like to change my original coil springs out with a pair of Easton springs. I have removed the export brace and shocks. What else do I need to remove in order to drop the suspension on one side at a time so that I can romove those springs? Just want to make sure I am removing the correct components before I tackle this

Any tips and tricks you might suggest. This is the only part of the car that I have not worked on for the past 10 years and honestly need some suggestions by those who have actually completed this on their own car.

I tried looking for an old thread on the Shelby Forum, but could not find any. If there are any useful videos or old questions that pertain to this subject, please feel free to pass them to me as i would certainly take the time to read them all

    Thanks for your time

You need to rent a spring compressor and once you get the coil spring out Check the spring support on the upper control arm. Remove it and make sure it did not crack by the bolt hole.

    Good luck

Hey thanks for the advise. I did rent a spring compressor and am ready to tackle this mid week. Did you have to remove anything like the sway bar, lower arm etc so that the spring will drop once it has been compressed. This is my first time and want to read or learn as much as I can. I have tried going on line to see if there were any videos or words of wisdom and can't seem to find any.

Again I appreciate your help and my car is looking forward to a stiffer ride for sure

After you remove the shocks that is all you have to remove. MAKE sure the spring compressor tool is on the spring good. If not it is like a bomb. Make sure you check the lower spring monut bolted to the upper control arm. I t has rubber glued to it.

    Good Luck
