Were all PI block's stamped with the VIN for 68? I've heard conflicting data and would ask for some more input.

    Thanks,

Its kind of a trick question. Since this is a Shelby forum I'll answer it from a Shelby perspective. No 68 Shelby 428 PI blocks were VIN stamped in 68. NJ stamped the cylinder heads, not the blocks. PI engines were used at other plants as well in non Shelby apps and other plants stamped the blocks.
Now back to the question. All 68 Shelby PI engines were supposed to be VIN stamped. There are quite a few that have been documented as not stamped but it is more of an anomyly than normal. More times than not its used as an excuse to justify a non original engine.
ps: theres no such thing as a VIN number :D

    Frank,

Your post is like the pot calling the kettle black, your own "style in posting" and your own "condescending tone" bring down the forums you choose to participate on/in.I've noticed this over the past year or so It's almost as if you have a chip on your shoulder daring someone to knock it off. Others won't say it,but I will, "enough is enough already" as it's getting old and ruining what was (and still is to a point) your excellent reputation.

TLEA responded on topic (ok, with a little chiding that was quite readily apparent) and did indeed answer the question asked in great detail which I'm sure the original poster (Phil, aka: rcode) will appreciate.

Regardless of this, I do wish you a happy and healthy new year.

    Sincerely,

    Bill S.

PS: You have both had run ins on the Boss302 forum, why spill that same "anxiety" and "drama" over to another forum.

Merry Christmas Frank. Have a cup of eggnog and smile. Notice the  at the end of the comment? I know the poster and the comment was made light hearted. We all have pet peaves, one of mine is things like VIN number, ATM machine and the like. Yours appears to be bringing agendas to the table and attaching them anyway you can. Honestly I've never met you but I've witnessed quite a few interactions between you and others and you really come across as a pompous self serving grouch. I'm sure you don't want to be known that way so relax, answer some questions for people with your wealth of knowledge and enjoy life.

Just to be clear, the reason the SAAC is rewriting the rules is because it hasn't been done in over 15 years. It has nothing to do with the demeanor of any judges. Most of the judges I know are answering questions, not attacking other forum members.

Thanks all. Just the information I needed.

The smiley after the comment denotes humor. At least for those in the know.
