How many of the 67' GT500s came with a 427? I thought I read 1 or 2. All others were upgrades after the sale.

In this listing, There are pics of a nice car. Is he showing us what it could look like someday?

    Just curious.

Rather optimistic seller with a "buy it now" of $112,500.

I think he is showing what it could look like.

only 3 factory 427's PERIOD, EXCLAMATION POINT!

I have spoken (emailed) to the 67 registrar more than once about this. ANYONE who claims a 427 dealer install has to provide period documentary proof, which no one to date (that I know of) has done.

Looks like a good project, BIN way to high.

Thank you for confirming that for me. I thought it might even be just one but I will change that to 3. B)

I thought the count was only two factory 427 cars? or is the third one the super snake along with the other two that I can't recall the VINs of right now? At least the seller of this car is not claiming it to be a factory 427 car.

I was counting the Super Snake in the 3. I know he is not claiming it to be a factory 427 and it looks like it could be a good project if the price was right. At car shows, I have seen more than my share of 67's with 427's in them and the stories the owners tell to people who ask about it are often less than honest and sometimes downright ridiculous. (I love to be just within earshot) Had some gentle fun with the owner of one such car who was parked next to me a few weeks ago and I slowly took his explanation apart. He had a show board for his car stating there were some 40+ 427 cars but no documentation, just a good story for the uninformed passing by. I handed him the book of documents & Pix I keep with my car and simply said "this is how I know what my car is - extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof"
BTW, even after looking through my book, he kept telling his yarn...ugh.

Some people just can't let the truth get in the way of a good story.
