Hello to all. I'm pulling the full quarter panels off of #1984 and have two questions. How do you remove those little studs that retain the rear glass? Are they screwed in, pressed in, welded in? Also, what is the best way to remove the lead covering the joints. Any advice/input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Those molding clip studs will remain with the quarter panel. There are three ways to replace them,a small round headed self tapper screw;a pop riveded stud or a screw stud. The last two look factory, you will have to go to a jobber catalog or a body shop should be able to get them.As for the lead removal;a small propane torch, putty knife and a wire brush.Make sure you are wearing an approved respirator.Have a exhaust fan on to remove any fumes in your shop. Also, wear some leather gloves and old jacket incase of hot lead splattering on you.Safety First!!.......Joel
