Does any student of the Cobra CSX2000 and CSX3000 cars have an opinion on the accuracy of the 16 page Cobra owner's register issued by a fledgling Cobra club in Grosse Pointe MI more than 30 years ago? The reason I ask is that it has little notations on this serial number car or that, but that was the days before the internet, when communication was cruder. I am going to presume SAAC started out with that register when they began to compile their own but maybe I'm wrong and the two differ with each other in numerous places. In other words, is it pretty accurate, or not worth the paper it's written on?
Direct your question to Ned Scudder the SAAC Cobra Registrar. Ned has been collecting Cobra information since the cars came out (1962). His archives and data base on Cobras is extremely extensive, accurate and without peer. If he doesn't have it; it probably isn't worth mentioning. Any fledging attempt to put together Cobra history by unknown persons from the past with little real information would be suspect. If you have specific questions; direct them to Ned Scudder for proper information. shlby66
I wholeheartedly concur. Ned, I am certain is well aware of whatever literature you may have unearthed. he is the man when it comes to COBRA. Period. seeking the truth, I would ask him before asking Carroll himself as a matter of fact. Carroll's memory seems to be fading as he looks onward to newer projects. onward and upward. Ned on the other hand lives in the 60's!!
Wallace, Is there a specific reason why you are asking all of these questions recently? Rumor has it you are working on a new book.
