I searched some for info on this and didn't find anything specific on it. I'm looking for some names and numbers of some header fabricators in the greater Orange County area or even in LA. I can take the car to them to be made. Didn't want to pay a fortune but figured I could get something made up around $1200 + or -. Would appreciate any help and recommedations anyone can provide. Also guys to stay away from would be good to!!!! Thanks much.

You could check out Doug Holmberg of " Da Header Works " in Torrance, CA.
I believe his shop is still on 190th street. Does the best fabrication on headers
and exaust systems that I know of. He provides almost all of the Vintage
racers with exaust systems and a lot of street cars too. Doug built my exaust
system ( headers to exit ) and they are a work of art. One of my better decisions. Oh buy the way, it ain't cheap! By the time you have the entire system Hi-Temp coated, your looking at $2000+. Just remember: you get what you pay for and pay for what you get. It is going on a Shelby, right?

Well it's going on an open track 66 Mustang fastback...not a real Shelby but an R model look alike. I only need the headers and a connector to my exhaust thats already there. I appreciate your help a lot. Will look him up and get a quote.

I'm pretty much resolved to paying for a quality job rather than beating on a set of off the shelf POS's. We have installed a number of those kind and they never fit like they say they do. They always require a trip to the muffler shop or grinding or cutting or denting to make them work. Makes a guy wonder what car they are using to mock them up.:thumbdown

    Sandy, I just looked up Doug Holmberg's phone # and it's: 310-370-1174.
    His address is : 2817 Unit A 190th Street
    Redondo Beach, CA 90278

Sorry I misled on you on his being in Torrance. Redondo Beach and Torrance sort of run together. By the way he mocks up his systems on his son's Mustang and I had no problems installing it. Great craftsmanship! I know all of the cars out of Dave Dralle's shop at Willow Springs use Doug's headers.
