One for you 67 350 guys. What kind of oil cap did 67 350's come with and does it have a hose that goes to the aircleaner? Thanks Tim
They came two ways: If you have no hose, and no hose nipple on your oil cap, that is known as the "open crankcase emission system". My Illinois delivered GT 350, early model has that. The type with the hose is known as the "closed crankcase emission system", and, has a hose on the oil cap that goes to the bottom of the air filter assembly. Back then, those where on mainly California delivered cars (more stringent air pollution control regulations), but other states could have gotten those cars also.
Mine is an early one too. It is like Rod's.....no hoses. It's chrome with the fomoco logo stamped in the top center.
Couple of pictures attached (hopefully) showing the vent cap on #2751 (california car). Sorry for the poor quality, the pictures were taken with a cell phone! The lettering on the top of the cap says FoMoCo.
Script or Block Early, Roddster, Do you have an original oval Fomoco logo in script or a block Fomoco logo in a rectangle?
