A few words from current owner: In 1968 I was a senior in high school and purchased a brand new 68 red fastback, this is the only picture of it before I dressed it up a little. It came with 650x14's wire wheel covers, 302 4v with no badge on the side, 3 speed on the floor, white interior, am radio, single exhaust, no air. Sticker was $2995.00 my car payments were $53.00 a month, Wow I thought that was a fortune, I was 18 yrs old in this picture and college was starting soon, that's my ROTC uniform. It was so hot in August. So, now at age 58 I tried to hunt that car down through insurance records, with no luck. then decided I had to have a 68 fastback again. As I hunted for a 68 Fastback a 68 Shelby stood out as a great car to invest in and also have some fun in. So lets call it an up grade of my high school days. This is really a great Shelby GT350 and as a automatic it still "barks" the tires. Thank you, Donnie Carney, Retired Fort Worth Fireman, 30 yrs. I purchased this car out of Hemmings Motor News, owner was in Roseburg, Oregon he had it 19 yrs and did some work on it, before that it was in Colorado Springs, So after Hertz rentals had it I could be the fourth owner, but I am still searching the history. I have had it about a year. __________________ Car was in "Mustang Monthly" 1998 Feb issue "Quick Freeze" article.
