A racecar legend cooks up a new hobby

Former racecar driver and automotive legend Carroll Shelby plans to walk in the footsteps of another legendary auto enthusiast, Paul Newman, by coming out with a line of food products including salad dressing mixes, salsa and cornbread by the end of the year. Shelby won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1959, but is more well known for creating the Cobra sports car and various Shelby Mustangs for Ford after retiring from racing.

It's about time that he came out with a cornbread to complement the classic Texas chili.

Cornbread was tried twenty years ago. Maybe it's time to try it again.

    Dear Mr. Wylie,

I don't want to seem picky, but wasn't 3 Alarm Chili made by Wickford P. Fowler.

    Sincerely,

    John

As for being in it for the money - think that is why they call it a business ;)

That is unless OB with the TARP dollars get involved :0

I like cornbread but I didn't particularly care for CS's recipe.

The cornbread contained bell peppers, I didn't care for it either.

    What about the Taco Mix.
