Well, I;m worried about the turnaround time. Almost time to start driving the car, taking it to shows again. Do you plan on another run sometime in October or beyond?

Roddster, you have to contact Fred by email.
His email address is specified in my earlier post.
I am not involved in any way more than I try to help
by giving the contact information to Fred who did a run last
year and all indications are that people were happy with the results.

Fred has set a cutoff date of April 30, 2009 for sending in fuel pumps to be rebuilt on this extra run. If you have a pump you'd like to have rebuilt, contact Fred now via his info provided by Texas Swede. There may not be another run after this.

This is Fred and I have now joined your site. I am now actively collecting fuel pumps for my third run. I have already done over 150 of these with results that have pleased everyone. I will continue doing these until the rebuilder tells me that I am done. So far everything is good to go for this next run and I have already collected a fair number of them. I have not as yet established a cutoff date.

For everyone that has already sent your fuel pumps in for this run, thank you very much. For all of you that are thinking about sending yours in, I am establishing a cutoff date of November 2, 2009. My objective is to have this run completed by the end of November.

Fred asked me to post this picture of his graduating class of 2009.... Can you find your pump in the mix? I'll bet the owner of the 65 who wanted his pump rebuilt on the inside but left with the original patina on the outside can find his!!

    Thanks Fred!!

I have some bad news regarding my source for uncrimping and recrimping these pumps as they quit doing them. I saw this coming but was sad to see them quit. I do have good news as well, though. The previous source referred me to another local source and they are working with me in the same way as the past source. This means that I will still be able to continue restoring these pumps with the same results as before, at least for now. I am now gathering pumps for a fifth run. I have now done over 250 of them.

I am just thankful that Fred stepped up. I held on to two cores for years hoping someone would figure out how to rebuild them. That graduating class photo has my two pumps in it somewhere. One of them is now on the car and works flawlessly. Worth the wait.

I second Fred's work. I've had 3 already and he has 3 more right now. Glad to hear you have a new source.

I am now gathering pumps for a seventh rebuilding run. I will keep doing these as long as I am able to do them. I completed three runs last year. Please contact me if you have interest in this.

Fred, I will be calling you as I have one for rebuilding. It is not a 3939s, but is the correct visual style.

This is an update on crimped fuel pump rebuilding. I am actively gathering pumps for my fifteenth run. I have done over 750 of these so far. The $220 price is the same but the return shipping in the lower 48 states is now $18.

This is just an update on the fuel pump restorations that I am doing. This is current as of December 20, 2018.

I have just completed my thirty second run and I am currently gathering pumps to begin my thirty third run. I have done over 1,200 of these so far. I generally only do 2 or 3 runs per year based on customer needs. They are done in batches with a minimum of 20 units due to the cost of the plating. I already have a few pumps here but not enough yet to begin the next run although there are more in transit.

The restoration is $240 plus $20 return shipping in the lower 48 states. This service needs to be prepaid and a personal or company check is the preferred method of payment. The pumps are disassembled, cleaned, replated and rebuilt with diaphragms and valves compatible with current ethanol laced fuels. If you are planning to send yours in, please reply to this email with contact and shipping information and enclose it also with the pump. The service takes about one month from the time that I begin the disassembly process.

I seem to be the only one in the world currently doing these pumps. If you Google "crimped fuel pump rebuild" my name is the only one that comes up.

    Best regards,
