All the GTs that came into Europe (officially) went through Roush Technologies in Brentwood England. They had minor mods made to comply with European lighting and construction rules, and were then Type Approved (Homologated).

If anyone has a list of VINs, it'll be them!

You could try contacting them on +44 (0)1277 261400 or at www.roush.co.uk

The guy who used to run the GT program was Dave Jones, but I haven't spoken to him in about 3 years, so I don't know if he still works there.

    Good luck

    David

Sorry to correct the statement above a bit - Most of the 101 (if not all) european GTs indeed underwent a rather major modification process at Capricorn near the Nürburgring. They were all brought there with closed trucks.
I happened to be there during that time and had a look at the very comprehensive listing of mods. The mod list contained several pages.
For a sneak view check out www.ponysite.de/GT_gt40.htm

Here is a pic of one of the pages of the conversion sheet.

Jeff Burgy from SAAC certainly has all those VINs on hand.

Not to burst your bubble, but, i am sure that if anyone was the complete list of vins, they will probly not be sharing it, pretty standard protocal for any registrar....what do you need the list for?

    Best,

I have made contact with Albino through the Ford GT Forum, and have answered his question. He was primarily interested to find out if his GT was one of the 101 cars officially exported to Europe. From the VIN number he submitted, it was not, his car was originally built for the US market.

    regards,

    Jeff
