This is a thread dedicated to the project that my dad and I are currently working on. It is a recreation of a 1965-1966 Shelby GT350, it will be a combination of both years plus a little variation of R model also:thumbup:. This is a car that we've had since 1989 and finally decided to build her into something special. This is a work in progress, as I will be uploading photos here regularly until completion. Check out the pics and tell me what you think.
Here are a few pics...........or see the complete gallery here: http://BKGInc.zenfolio.com/p860931788 Thanks!:cigar:

Nice, solid looking shell! What drivetrain plans do you have and when you say combining both years, I assume R-model front valance, 66 quarter windows, 65 lowered A-arms, etc. Can you share your exact vision of the what this will be?

Yeah, I guess just more of a combination of 65 and 66. We have 5 Cragar wheels, 65 grill, 66 gas cap, original 65 steering wheel, 66 Cobra tach, 65 radio delete, 66 plexiglass windows, etc...etc...also 1" front lowering and the best part is that we have a complete drivetrain from a 65 K model Mustang. We are building it with the options from 65-66 that we like the best. I love the 65 GT350's but I prefer the side scoops and plexiglass windows. I love the 66 GT350's but I prefer the Cragars and the front grill. You know what I mean? I will post more pic as I assemble the car. :cigar:

Brilliant progress. I only hope mine turns out this nice. BTW what was the paint used to do the engine bay?

I have to paint the engine bay and the interior but don't know which blacks to use.

Thanks for the compliments. I love this paint....I used Orr-Lac Semi Gloss Black #923. Its very easy to use and easy to touch up. I put alot on there too. Just keep spraying until you get the finish you like. Good luck:cigar:

I had to do that on my photos because I have had people take advantage and download a whole concert before and try to pawn them off as their own. Sorry, I just have my website set up that way. Its only on there when I open it up for downloading.:cigar:
And yes, I have a whole bunch of photos from the 68 also. I will work on getting them posted and I'll let you know when theyre ready. Here is the link to the complete gallery, 100's of photos: http://BKGInc.zenfolio.com/p730339606
