    Shipped to Yates-Stevens Ford (Saint Louis, MO)
    8/31/68. On 2-12-69 5% carry over rebate applied for by dealership
    from Shelby Automotive for a credit of $235.08 on a price of
    $4701.70. On 2-14-69 as new unit in stock vehicle had warranty
    service at dealership for conv. top boot missing on delivery at a
    cost of $39.42 with 00003 miles. Date of sale 6-30-69. On 7-27-69
    original owner J. Robert (Kirkwood, MO) had warranty service at
    dealership for tilt problems and repair fuel gauge and undercoat
    car at a cost of $20.34 with 01469 miles. Previous owners Jerry &
    Rod Cookson (IL,¹82), Harold L. Hill (Meridian, MS,9/87), Brent
    Danneman (Gainsville, GA 12/98). For sale on internet World Wide
    Muscle Cars (OK) with 65,795 miles. For sale on internet eBay April
    2002 located in Oklahoma City, OK with a buy it now price of
    $69,500 with 65,795 miles. Purchased by J. Snell (Oaklahoma City,
    MO) in 2002. Sold at Auction in Jan 2006 in Scottsdale for $205k
    Purchased by Mike Herman March, 2006 San Diego, CA

    -Car won best Shelby and Best 1968 Shelby several times in the 1980's at the Mid-American Ford Meet according to Jim Wicks. Years to be determined still. Car placed 2nd in Dearborn at National Meet for best KR in 1980's as well. Took 1st in Jackson, MS, Dallas, TX, Chattanooga, TN, Tulsa, OK (4-6 times at the big Shelby show), 1981 Gateway Region in St. Louis, MO, Governors Trophy in Springfield, IL,.
    -Car placed 2nd for best Mustang at 2008 Coronado Speed Festival San Diego, CA

    It's got some work left if I want to concours on it, for now it is a great show car that is fun to drive. I did not redo the underbody because I plan on some cross country drives and pony cruises. I'm not going to baby it quite yet.

    It did win some national shows so I am excited about finding which years.

    Beautiful car. I love the vintage picture with the Magnums and wide tires!:thumbup: It just plain looks old school tough.

    Your car looks great. I am becoming a big fan of the hubcap look. It seems it is rarer to see a car today with the correct wheelcovers.

    That's the way they came. I found those out here in California still in the Ford boxes with part numbers. Some guy cleaning out his garage put them on Craigslist.
