    Greetings All,

    Did everyone read this?

Carroll Shelby has announced that he's not renewing SAAC's licensing agreement to use his name in conjunction with the club. He's also demanded the handing over of all documents regarding the registry of all Shelby vehicles by SAAC (since 1/1/96). According to SAAC, Carroll Shelby never gave a reason for this termination.

    Wow.

I can't understand this. All of those countless hours of work by the SAAC Registrars--down the drain? What would the club be called now--AAC?
What will happen to the World Registry's (protecting everyone's values)?

Carroll Shelby's lawyers are also demanding "the return of all of SAAC's unsold or undistributed merchandise, literature or other items bearing Shelby's intellectual properties."

SAAC stated it feels Carroll Shelby's demands are without merit and to plans to "defend the clubs' and its members' proprietary information, property, and rights" (and is seeking donations for the fight).

    A very sad situation indeed.
