Does anyone know where I can purchase a complete Shelby CAN AM?

Does anyone know an owner of one of these race cars?

There is a member of the SDAC (Shelby Dodge Auto Club) that has one, I remember seeing it at SDAC-10? in 2000.

http://www.shelbycanam.com/ is a site for the can am cars but there is very little info there, you may be able to contact the administrator of the site and see if he knows of any for sale.

The $100 CAN AM frame is sold. A great buy if you had a use for it because eBay had one for $3000 a few months back.

The SDAC-10 member you refer to is probably Brian and/or Bennett. Brian is very knowledgable about the Shelby CAN AM and penned an article entitled "The Ultimate Dodge-Shelby" a few years back. The article is a nice history of their chassis #037 (out of only 75 built) and how they acquired it.

    Regards,

    Bob

Yes Bob, that was our car.

Judi and I went to the SDAC-10 driving school at MIS as Instructors. We helped a few folks learn their way around the road course safely, and took the SCA out for some exhibition runs when time permitted. The track got pretty wet later on, so it was only a few sessions in total but was quite fun while it lasted
MIS is the polar opposite from Waterford Hills, that's for sure ;^J

    Cheers,
    Brian

    Dave,

You probably know this thing was bought by me some years ago. It is now fitted with a 500HP LS Chevy.
