Racing Legends to Attend Cougar 40th Anniversary Celebration at Carlisle

David Pearson, Bud Moore Confirmed for Event at All-Ford Nationals

Racing legends David Pearson and Bud Moore will join a large crowd of classic car enthusiasts to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Mercury Cougar during the All Ford Nationals June 1 to 3, 2007, at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, in Carlisle, Pa.

Among the featured cars at the show will be the first of three Cougars prepared by Bud Moore Engineering for competition in the 1967 Trans-Am racing series. The factory-sponsored Moore team finished second in the series, only a couple points behind the championship Mustang team. The restored ’67 Cougar is now owned by David Tom, of Apache Junction, Ariz.

Ten significant Cougars will be displayed indoors and more than 100 Cougars representing all eras are expected on the show field.

The Delmarva Cougar Club, representing Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, and the Cougar Club of New Jersey/Pennsylvania will host the “Mid-Atlantic Prowl” Cougar celebration during the All-Ford Nationals, the fourth such Prowl event the two clubs have hosted at Carlisle since 2000.
