the Shelby emblems you speak of have been available through the aftermarket practically since 1965. many Wanna be's modd'ed the FORD up all the could. while I have never seen or heard of a Shelby Fairlane, I do know they had som Falcons that were Raced. sounds like a neat find anyway. post some pics.

Even if it dosen't have any ties to Shelby American, a k code fairlane is a neat find. I just love my 63 K code Fairlane. 65 was the rarest year for K code Fairlanes.

What a great find: a 1965 K code Fairlane and red to boot! The Shelby
emblems/stickers were obviously added by a former owner. Shelby
American never produced any Fairlanes. However, Holman-Moody prepared
a number of all out road racing Fairlanes back then. Enjoy your new find.
    Regards, shlby66.

Not true, shelby made a limited production of 50 fairlanes in 1965. My best friend has one in his shop that his grandfather bought brand new in 1965. The story was that he went to buy an ac cobra, and took his family to the dealership, not thinking about getting them home. The salesman talked him into getting the fairlane instead ;-)

Can you supply contact information on the owner of the Fairlane?

No, He drove it home to Hawaii on the Bridge I sold Him. I had to Finance it and when He missed 2 Payments in 1966, I had to take the bridge back. It's still For Sale if you know anyone needing a bridge.

really like your 63... noticed it having the vacuum advance. Mine was that way also... mine was just a blank never machined threads for the hose fitting.. many early features of the first HiPos.. has those erly fender plates without the flags!!
