One time back in the '70s, I talked to a guy on the phone named Zachery Taylor Reynolds. I was reminded of him when reading about a relative who thought it was cute to put the Hope diamond on her dog's collar (yes, THE Hope diamond). Anyhow Zach had a 427 Cobra, silver. I remember that he told me he kept it on a plastic bubble at his ranch/plantation. I vaguely remember maybe it was PR man Gary Kohs who bought it--maybe from the time Ford gave him a budget to promote Ford and Kohs got a GT40, a Cobra and some other remnants of Ford racing's past to show alongside some dull '70s Fords. One of those show cars he got for a dollar, can't remember which one. Did the Cobra sell before or after Reynolds augured that airplane into the ground Sept. 4th,1979 ? He sure was a colorful character...financed by all those Reynolds tobacco cigarettes...
