help with vacuum hoses

    restoring 70 gt500 anyone know a website or can give any help on hooking up the vacuum hoses on engine thanks 31

    The SAACforum can help.

    Also, when you post, you should let them know whether you have AC, tilt wheel, emissions, how many ports are on your vacuum "block" etc.

    Pictures will help as well as the last four of your VIN (for running changes).

    thanks for the response vin# 3142, 4 speed manual,no air condition , try to get a picture on tomorrow

    On a 4spd you should have a dual vacuum advance and a three way vacuum tree on the thermostat housing. From memory...

    The yellow striped line goes from the top of the vacuum tree to the carb

    The green striped line goes from the middle vacuum tree port to the front of the advance

    The red striped line goes from the back of the vacuum advance to the bottom of the tree, it also has a t that goes to the front intake manifold fitting.

    The black hose goes from the anti backfire can of the smog to the rear intake fitting.
