CARROLL SHELBY’S STORE UNVEILS LIMITED EDITION SHIRT PROGRAM TO
    BENEFIT NEW SHELBY AUTOMOTIVE MUSEUM
Shelby 427 S/C Cobra “Aloha” Shirt First in Series Honoring the Man and his Cars

    • Carroll Shelby’s Store launches new series of limited edition, numbered aloha shirts
    • Portion of apparel sales will benefit the new Carroll Shelby Automotive Museum
    • First aloha shirt celebrates Carroll Shelby on his birthday and features the 427 S/C Cobra

GARDENA, Calif. – Jan. 10, 2014 – To posthumously honor Carroll Shelby’s 91st birthday on Jan. 11, Carroll Shelby’s Store today announced a series of collectible “Aloha” style shirts that will help raise money to create the new Shelby Automotive Museum in Southern California. The first limited edition shirt will celebrate Mr. Shelby and his most recognizable car, the 427 S/C Shelby Cobra.

The series of shirts will include the big block Shelby Cobra, Ford Shelby GT500, FIA Cobra, Series 1, GT350 and small block ‘street’ Cobra. The first 998 shirts, in honor of the total number of Cobras built in the 1960’s, will come with a numbered certificate of authenticity bearing the exclusive Commemorative Carroll Shelby Signature. The series will only be available through Carroll Shelby’s Store for $150 (plus tax and shipping); $50 of the purchase is a tax deductible donation to the Shelby Automotive Museum.

“This stylish apparel series was created to give people a way to enjoy the Shelby lifestyle while also honoring an American hero’s legacy,” said Neil Cummings, trustee for the museum and Carroll Shelby International co-CEO. “Like the museum, the shirts will star Carroll’s profile and the cars built by Shelby American. This is a tribute to the company, the machines and most of all the man who changed the automotive world forever.”

Established by Carroll Shelby, the Shelby Automotive Museum is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created to educate the public about the auto industry, generally, and more specifically the high performance cars created and built by the many people who poured out their hearts and souls to make great American cars. These cars include the 1965 Shelby Cobra “Daytona” Coupe that won the FIA World Manufacturers’ Championship on the European Circuit in 1965, still to this day the only American company to have ever accomplished such a feat. Beating Enzo Ferrari, and conquering his long domination of this circuit, was one of Carroll Shelby’s dreams, which came true. The Museum will reflect America’s spirit of competition and will exemplify what “good old-fashioned hard work” can accomplish.

The Museum will be located at the Shelby facilities in Gardena, Calif., where Mr. Shelby spent much of the past 40 years, including his final years planning the future of the organizations that he founded.

“The Shelby brand has stood for quality and performance for over 50 years,” said Cummings. “Shelby’s influence was so strong that even competitors wore clothing featuring his marks in the 60’s. That rich heritage continues with limited edition garments designed and manufactured exclusively for Carroll Shelby’s Store.”

Re: New Limited Edition Shirt Program to Benefit Shelby Automotive Museum in Gardena,

Does this mean that the cars that were taken from Gardena many years ago for display at the Shelby American factory lobby in Las Vegas will finally return to their former home?

Re: New Limited Edition Shirt Program to Benefit Shelby Automotive Museum in Gardena,

Does this mean that the cars that were at the Gardena facility, then moved to the Las Vegas when SA plant opened, are now going back to Gardena and will no longer be in the lobby of the new Las Vegas SA? Gardena also had a lot of CS' personal collection of non Shelby named vehicles in a back warehouse and will those be on display as well?

LI am looking forward to this new facility and display of CS' personal memorabilia and vehicles.

I tried the Foundation link and the shirt was not posted. Is it displayed on any web link?
