    HI all,
I was hoping someone could PLEASE help me figure out the correct info on a '69 GT 350. A friend of mine wrote down the info that he could make out off of the data/buck tag.
I don't own a Shebly registry and the websites that I have come across are for Mustangs (I don't know if the coding info is different for Shelbys or Mustangs)

Here's the info he thought he read off the tag:
(I belive some #'s may be letters or vica-versa)

    Body: C3
    Color: 65
    Trim:3WA
    Date:02D
    D.S.O:842659
    Axle: O
    Trans: X

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    C3: Should be 63C, 2 door fastback
65: Should be C5? Black Jade
    3WA: White Fastback
    02D: April 02
DSO: Internal Ford tracking number, "84" designated it as a Shelby vehicle
    O: 3.00:1 locking axle
    X: FMC Automatic

Source: Shelby American Registry, page 1042-3.

    Commish,

Thanks so much for the info. Looks like I should buy a Shelby Registry. ;)

Quick questions: The Trim code of 3WA designates white Fastback? I didn't understand the term "Fastback" for the interior description  Please clairify.

Is the axle a posi-trac when you say it's a locking axle?

Where else on the vehicle will I find the VIN stamped on in order to verify that the VIN corresponds to the one on the door?

(Sorry for the newbie questions  ) Thanks again! :D

Never pay attention to the door Vin, unless it matches the other numbers. The official Vin is on the dash, and, Ford also stamps the vin along the fender, under the hood.
