What kind of Shelby hood ornament is this?!

    Dear all,

    I meet this guy the other day who says he has an geuine Shelby Mustang 1967. I don't if that is true or not, but he has the below hood ornament on his car. What kind of ornament is that? Where does it come from?

    Tried to search the internet for more Shelby-ornaments like these, but no really success. :-(

    Nose emblem base for a buick or cadillac, late 70's or early 80's with a cut down aftermarket Shelby emblem installed. :laf:

    Eh, are you sure. The only hood ornament I can find from that era is a plain ring or the pentagon.

    Peter,

    I edited my original post within 45 seconds of posting it, as the emblem shown in your post is a modified Cadillac item. Notice the picture in my post. Am I sure, yes, yes I am. The emblem in your post is not a Shelby item, not even a Ford item, the base emblem is a Cadillac item and nothing else.
