eBay with 7 days remaining in the auction. This could be another $150,000 Shelby.

Am I right in saying that this car would originally have had outboard lights in the grille? I notice there is a 'Z' at the front of the shelby vin stamping.

Great question about the outboard lights. I've got a...

'68 so I don't know. The "Z" on the VIN looks funny. What does it signify?

    As I understand it...

The 'Z' was stamped at the end of the assembly line after the Vin plate was fitted to the vehicle. The 'Z' signifies outboard lights (no 'Z' signifies inboard lights).

My '67 GT350 #02751 has the same 'Z' - a little larger than the other characters in the Vin, and not very legible.

Anyone please feel free to correct me if I got this wrong.

If your 67 has the "Z" and outboard lights then....

shouldn't the 67 on eBay with the "Z" also have outboards? It has inboard lights, not outboard. Thanks.

THe "Z" on late '67 cars has nothing to do with Inboards versus Outboard lights. Actually no one knows why it is even there. A late car deal.
