At the last Father's day event of COCOA at Willow, I saw this red 427 body style car but with a 289 in it.
Under the hood on metal tag near the firewall, it said "Autokraft" I think (or maybe "A.C. Cars:) but did not say
Autokraft Mk. IV. Outside the car, on the rear flares it had large shiny cladding about 1' tall, could be
polished aluminum, protecting the fender arch from stone chips. The dashboard was like a regular Cobra with flip toggles , not the Mk. IV dashes with their rocker switches. I think the instruments were Smiths. I photographed the exterior but not the metal tag under the hood that identified the maker. My questions, which occured to me weeks later: is this an A.C. 289, one of 27 built? Or is this an A.C. made by Brian Angliss before he formalized his re-creations into the Mk. IV? The car was red. I would send pictures but there's no clue on the outside.
