Check out the Spring 2012 edition of Motor Trend Classic for a good article about CSX2589, the last 289 Cobra ever made. Carroll has been the only owner of this Automatic, 289 Cobra. It has an interesting history, with Mike McCluskey making some alterations in the 1970's, including swapping out the original 289 for a 351 Cleveland and repainting the car blue. About a decade later, McCluskey swapped the 351 Cleveland back for the original 289. The article rolls through the car's history quite nicely and has some good photos. I'll try to find some photos I took of CSX2589 a few years ago and post them.
