Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I need some help please! I have a 2012 Shelby gt500 5.4 liter, and I want to run a smaller supercharger pulley and I have some exhaust cutouts i also wanna install. I'm still under warranty so I wanna stay within safe limits, everything on my car is stock, no upgraded internals or anything like that, I just want a little extra kick without going too crazy you know. What size supercharger pulley should I run and do I also need an idler pulley or anything else to go with it?
If you are worried about your warranty at all, then your only safe limit is to keep the car stock. With that said I'd go for a 2.8 or 2.6 inch pulley. The idler pulley will ensure there is no belt slippage and gives you the added benefit of keeping the stock belt. There are plenty of places to purchase these from. I'd go with a kit that comes with a programmer also. Just Google 2012 GT500 supercharger pulley and you'll find lots of choices.
