shelby license to fly card

    I have a orig cardboard like shelby card that says to fold it up and put it in your wallet in case u get pulled over by police they would see u are a member of carroll shelbys club and may give u a warning for speeding...i cannot find any info on it and looks to be from about 69-70 era? anybody know what iam talking about? :D

    I bought my 67 GT 350 in 1971. I joined "SAAC" (your "Carroll Shelby's club") in about 1985. Sometime during the late 1980's I got a "license to speed" from SAAC with some Tongue-in-Cheek writing with refers to you maybe needing to give the card to a police officer should you get pulled over....while speeding in your Shelby automobile. I put a keychain through it and hang it on my Shelby's radio knob.
