Never should have used "dug up" with that small block GT

    ....because it was only cut in half and sitting in a junkyard which Brits call "breaker yards." But now I remember there was a GT40 big block actually buried on the grounds of the area that encompasses LeMans racetrack. I have seen pictures of it after Hansgen crashed it into a sand pile at speed, breaking the car in half and killing himself. I wonder if that car was ever retrieved in later years, because I also heard Holman & Moody was storing several crashed GT40s in Charlotte in case they were ever needed as evidence in any lawsuits over deaths.
