In some magazine currently on the newsstand, maybe it has Kustom in the title it has the Dean Jeffries Mantaray on the cover and inside a story on Dean. In the story it says that Dean painted the first Cobra over several times, which I heard from Dean, but I never heard as they say in the story that Dean rebodied the first Cobra. I thought all that was done was to make the trunk lid less deep (to add more rigidity to the body) and maybe add the side wheel well flares. I know Dean could bend metal but it's one thing to do some fenderwork and/or bodywork and the other is to build a whole body. Does anybody else know if Dean did a whole new body from scratch? I'd ask him but I don' t know if his shop alongside the freeway in Studio City is open anymore.
