I have put together this list of production numbers for most Mustangs. I am sure someone will find something missing like the amount of Super Snakes built, so it is an ongoing endeavor.

    Very interesting...

    Couple of other specialties:

'70, '71 Mach 1 as well as those during the SN95 years.
    California Specials

I wonder where I can find a 2007 GTH Convertible with a manual...?

    Hi,
Is it me or are you missing the 1970 Mach 1 ?? They made less than the 69 and should be on the list. Also the 67 Shelby numbers are not correct. The Super Snake was part of the overall total so it should be corrected to read 2047 G.T. 500 cars,if you are going to list the Super Snake seperately.Another thing is the 67 G.T.350 Total may be changed to 1174,which is the number Kevin Marti is showing. The new Saac Registry will have this in it if it is proven.Where did you get the early Mustang totals?
    Thanks for the info.!

This seems to be a real common problem on the internet. People like to copy down numbers and the bad information is perpetuated. This is not for amateurs.

Where are the 69 and 70 Cobra jets? You broke them out in 68 (incorrectly, I might add)

I would say "nice try", but it wasn't.

Who figured out that there were 518 gt500kr convert.? vs what my old shelby buyers guide says is 318 produced ? Was it kevin marti ? the 200 car difference is in the gt350 fastbacks . my old book says 1253 produced and I guess the real number is 1053 . or was it just a typo during print of my old book for 1968 shelby mustang production numbers ?

Also What are the real numbers on 1966 gt350 convertables? 6 or ? ? Not the reproduction cars built in the late 80s or early 90s I mean the ones built in 66 at the la facilty. I wonder where these cars are ?

The revised 1968 production numbers have been out for about ten years. SAAC went with the most accurate information available to them when the 1997 Registry was published. I think you will find a note in there that records were incomplete and some extrapolation was used. Because the total production number was always correct (4450), the numbers for some other models was also in error at the time of printing. I always suspected the Registy number was in error , because the survival rate (cars accounted for) for KR convertibles was about 30 % higher than the other models. That would not make sense statistically.

There are still a lot of things that are unknown about production, but the numbers have been nailed pretty well for the 1968s. If you see references to 318 KR convertibles, you can feel reasonably assured the person making those claims is clueless.

If you thought the old Registry was usefull, wait until you see the new, revamped 1968 sections. They will blow your mind.
