Unique Performance and Chip Foose to Launch Line of Limited Edition Performance Cars; Dynamic Companies Join Forces to Create American Super Cars

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 5, 2005--Executives with Unique Performance and Foose Design have signed an agreement to create limited edition performance cars based on 1960s era and current production vehicles. The team will transform automobiles into world-class performance machines with stunning designs by Chip Foose and 21st century speed technology.

Unique Performance manufactures the Shelby G.T.500E and G.T.350SR continuation cars based on vintage Ford Mustangs. Chip Foose, famous for his TV show Overhaulin', is one of the top designers in the United States. Chip has designed and built signature street rods, customs, studio vehicles and show cars for films such as Blade Runner and RoboCop.

"The public is hungry for limited edition true performance cars from top designers," said Douglas Hasty, President and CEO of Unique Performance. "By welding our capabilities to the talents of Chip Foose, we'll turn ordinary production vehicles into extraordinary American muscle cars. The first American automobiles scheduled for limited edition transformation are from the 1960s. The team will rescue vintage Camaros and install wheels, engines, suspensions, transmissions and interiors found in current production luxury performance cars, based on Chip Foose Designs. Additionally, a limited series of vehicles based on current production cars will be offered in 2005.

"Although I'm asked continually to produce limited quantities of the stunning one-off vehicles that I have completed, our company is not set up for that type of production," commented Chip Foose. "Working with Unique Performance will allow me to create exciting new designs that can be built for a limited number of customers who value style, performance and exclusivity."

As part of this program, Unique Performance is working with Dupont's Hot Hues(TM) custom finishes group. Every car built by Unique Performance will be clad in the company's palette of custom colors, paint effects and finishes.
