This car was auctioned at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The word on the seemingly low $200,000 winning bid for the Carroll Shelby tribute car is that 3 bidders were involved as the price escalated and included noted collector and dealership owner, Sam Pack. The other two saw Sam Pack and backed out. So, the car will supposedly be going to the Sam Pack collection. He has a museum here in Dallas that rotates cars from his collection. Very nice!

Additionally, Ford and Shelby have cranked out about 10 or 11 "one off" cars auctioned for charity in the past several years so I am guessing that would have an impact on the outcome.
