Re: 67 Shock Tower Bracket
All of the Shelby's 65-70 should have the reinforced shock brackets as
should all export cars of the same year. The 67-70 Shelby's and export cars did not recieve the additional firewall reinforcement like the 65/66 cars. Since humans are involved mistakes happen as in the case of a lot of 67 cars that even though received the one piece heavy steel shock tower brace, they "mistakenly" did not receive the reinforced shock brackets. I believe it was a supply issue (lack of finished brackets)like which happened with other Shelby items in 67. Remember that the brackets were a Ford assembly line issue,if this was something that was done at Shelby they (mistakes) would have been a lot more frequent.
