Length of the exhaust tips on 68 GT350

Need some information, please. My exhaust system finally needed
replaced after 20 years. I took it to a shop for a custom exhaust. He
pulled the exhaust off then asked me how far the chrome exhaust tips
should extend out the back of the car. Anyone have that information?

By the way I just learned the almost hard way that custom exhaust is
the way to go. I ordered a complete set from Branda. The Tri-y
headers fit almost perfectly. The rest of it wasn't even close. The
bends were wrong. We tried every way to make it fit. No way. If the
box didn't say fits 67-69 I'd say they sent the wrong pipes. The
mufflers are wrong too. We can't use anything except the headers. The
moral, go to a custom shop, don't waste your time calling for a
exhaust system from a vendor.
Thanks in advance.
