Re: Re: old pictures

The wheels are 15 x 7 Boss 302 steel rims, 0 offset. I recently acqired a set or Chrysler wheels that measure the same, but have an extra set of small holes around the center. The magnesium wheels are original R model's that came off the #14 A sedan in the other pictures. I ran Gillette 255/60R15's. That's why the front fenders are sightly flaired and the rear lips are pounded flat, to clear the big tires. They lasted one season on the front and 1/2 season on the rear. We autocrossed every weekend except Christmas and New Years. SEE Y'ALL

It was great autocrossing as much as we used to back then. Today it would
be a much bigger expense. We all ran cheap tires (softer rubber), and
entry fees were next to nothing. When I was 16 it was a great experience
autocrossing 50 times a year. I wish the parameters of expense/free
time/family interest/etc. were all the same now. Just can't justify it
when the current Hoosiers life expectancy are measured in the number of
heat cycles they go through and it is another $800 a set of tires to race
for a small thropy, if anything.
