Shelby/Hertz Sports Car Club
Anybody else have a Hertz Sports Car Club garment Bag...
Black vinyl, with two gold stripes, with a white/red emblem, reading Hertz Sports car Club, in a circular layout.... These were given to people who rented the '66 hertz cars...along with wine glasses, etc....

I don't have any Hertz bags.
However, if it is basic Hertz sports car club memorabilia that you are after, I have got an original Hertz sports car club jacket that you either got when you rented the GT or you purchased separately. Jacket is yellow with the black stripes going down the side and the circular hertz sport car club logo on that stripe. The jacket is in mint condition so if anybody is interested I am ready to part with it. Give me a message at vernon_estes@yahoo.com so I can send some pics and a more detailed description! Hello Markboss, I have one of these garment bags ... neat item. I bought it given the fact that I own a 1968 Hertz car. I had not seen or known of another garment bag prior to your post. Other Hertz Sports Car Club Items ... I have two different patches and a couple of different 1960's keychains. I keep looking for a set of the Hertz Sports Car Club drinking glasses.

I picked up my garment bag about 10 years ago, while doing a car show...an elderly gentleman approached me and said he used to rent the '66 Shelby's and was given the garment bag, and still had it..in his car...
Cool item...rarely ever see one!!! worth a few bucks...
