I understand that there were about 50....
Shelby Viper CS's manufactured. They were the RT/10-CS and the GTS-CS. Does anybody know of a site for these cars? Anybody know any details about them? Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!

Re: I understand that there were about 50....
The cars are mentioned once or twice at Viper Alley. I believe they were only cosmetic changes.

Re: I understand that there were about 50....
I looked into buying one of the 97 SC's new. They were an exclusive project of Fitzgerald Motorsports of Laconia NH. Dan Fitzgerald is a good friend of CS. The info I received on the 97 model's stated only 25 to be built for the 97 year. They could be ordered with two seperate performance package's. The ordered Stage One package came equipped with:
3:73 rear axle with speedo box 18'' custom wheel's and tire's Free flow exhaust K&N air cleaner's and Hi-Po plug wire's 5 point safety harness on both seat's Custom floor mat's Custom side vent's High performance computer Fitzgerald Motorsports styling package Venzano custom signature Red/Gold seat's List price for the Stage One package - $89,900 Plus luxury tax. Horse power rating for the Stage One package was 480 rwhp. Stage Two package was a Hennessey Venom 600 conversion that was to be done by Hennessey's shop in Texas. The cost of the Hennessey Stage Two conversion was an additional $29,500 on top of the $89,000 Stage One package. All car's came with a photo log of production plus a letter of authenticity signed by CS and Dan Fitzgerald. I was told that two 97 Blue and White SC's were built aswell. The projeceted total production of 25 97 SC's was not met. Not sure of the total 97 production built but would guess about half if that were ever built. I have seen four 97's the past ten year's and one was a Blue&White for sale in CA. around 2000 by a used car dealer. The 95 & 96 RT/10 was to be a limited production of 50 but again this projected number was not met. All of these Fitzgerald conversion's were available on the Viper factory painted color's and came with the full factory warranty with the Stage One package. Have never seen nor heard of a Hennessey Stage Two package ever being built on one of these package's. I have much more info on these Fitzgerald package's stored away including some pic's of the differant year's available. HTH. |

Fantastic information. I sincerely appreciate your....
effort in getting this information to me. It helps tremendously. I thought that all of the Shelby Vipers were 1996 models but you did not mention those. Were they all 1997 models as far as you know?
