HEM-6: Where's the other five?

I was looking at a photo of a 289 Cobra with rather unusual bodywork (it has Ferrari 250GTO type fender cutouts behind the rear wheels) and it's right drive but instead of a COB serial number prefix it is called HEM-6 , named after the firm that assembled it.

I gather the car is accepted as a Cobra since the frame came from
AC Cars Ltd. during the time they were building cars for Shelby. It is still active in vintage racing in the UK

My question is, why the number "6." That makes me think there were HEM1, HEM2, etc. or maybe those weren't Cobras so it matters not on this forum.

This selling of frames out the back door sure must play hob with trying to make a register, kind of reminds me of some gun deal I heard of on the East Coast where the company sold guns without stamped in serial numbers...
