The Thomas Crown Affair
the new version, with the 007 guy. Got a quick look at one scene what I thought was a jeep with fog lights on the roll bar. It turned out to be a 68 Shelby conv. with stripes down the middle of the car. But the spare tire was attached to the top of the rear deck. No close ups of the car. I saw the Steve Mc Queen version back in 68 & can't recall seeing any Shelbys in that picture at all.----S.

Spare on the rear deck?
Sounds cheesy. Only car I can think of with spare on the rear deck is Stutz Blackhawk.Or maybe some old Rover 3500.
Did anyone who saw War of the Worlds remake with Tom Cruise notice he pulls up in front of his apartment in a black Shelby, I think it's a '66 GT350. I think Cruise is aware of Cobras & Shelbys (tried to rent Lynn Park's Cobra for a movie but Park didn't like the spin around to park against the curb they planned). I think Cruise is on a mission to improve his image (after being too much of a girly boy with bouncing on Oprah's couch) so he is surrounding himself with macho machines,.I believe in one interview he even lands a P51 fighter before reporting for the interview. Now I say any guy who can fly a P51 has balls. |
