This stunning example is the second of only two prototypes produced by SSC and carries the Serial #002. This car is the predecessor of the Ultimate Aero which started production in 2007 and recently officially became the "World's Fastest Production Car" as realized by Guinness World Records. Only 50 Ultimate Aeros will be made and again only two prototypes making this truly a collector item. This Aero has 787hp using the same C5R motor and G-64 6-speed manual with a very streetable 8 pound boost Super-charger where the Ultimate Aero uses Twin Turbos. Like all Aeros, the steel tube frame is encased with a flawless finished hand laid carbon fiber composite body. The SSC Aero Combines a true powerhouse with a lightweight, aerodynamic body and the best handling systems available to deliver a true super car fit to carry the Shelby name.

From the little research I did, there is no CS connection at all. They just share the same Shelby name.
